My Various Vacations

My semester in Paris brought lots of travelling, including trips to Bourges, Italy, Brussels, Switzerland and various cities in France. These photos represent a brief glimpse into my travels...

BOURGES
Me and Shannon plowed off early to Bourges & Limoges, which proved to be lots of fun but utterly exhausting...

Shannon, at the top of Bourges Cathedral (after she tells me that she's got issues with heights)

An interesting street, if I ever did see one...

ITALY
After an eventful but gross train ride, Leah & I were in Italy for 6 days, going from Florence to Milan to Venice for Carnevale. It was great fun, and we ate lots of gelato and did huge shopping (er, I did huge shopping while everyone else laughed at me)

Love the costumes

these things were everywhere... needless to say, Leah was NOT happy about it and squealed quite loud!

and we thought we were having a good hair day!

BRUSSELS
Brussels was an interesting city that me and Lisa went to for the day.  Although it rained severely ALL day and we initially got quite lost, the chocolate museum and the Belgium waffle made up for everything

The Museum of Chocolage and the swirling vat of chocolate that we dipped into... mmmmmmmm

A sight to see - the Mannekin Pis (it's actual name)

Us, in the rain and cold...

ANNECY & GENEVA
Lisa was determined to go to Switzerland, so we decided on Geneva and stayed in a little French valley town called Annecy which was beautiful. And even though it rained and was cloudy, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves...

Us at the Bistro Romain in Annecy which had REALLY good food and desserts!

Strange sidewalk decoration in Geneva

The largest jet stream (or something) in the world in Geneva... strange
