NORMANDY

Our class trip took us to Normandy, the romantic and beautiful northeastern coast of France.  After an exhilarating busride that was WAY too early in the morning, we arrived in Honfleur where we lounged about and had weird food (mussels for me which were good but squishy!). Jerrilyn said that the town reminded her of a Dickens' novel which was not only accurate, but eerily true...

Jacob & Sara - aren't they cute?  :)

After a rainy day in Honfleur, we got on the bus and plowed off to Fecamp which supposedly had a cathedral that contained some of Christ's blood (it had apparently arrived on top of a leaf that drifted in with the tide).  We stayed in a FABULOUS hotel/converted nunnery that was atop a beautiful cliff and had the only real breakfast that we would have for months. I saw the ocean for the first time and found what looked like a sponge, but could have actually been something much weirder...

After only a brief afternoon in Fecamp, we got back on the bus and drove off to Etretat which contained two different cliffs on which to kill ourselves on (LOTS and LOTS of stairs!!).  I climbed both cliffs and each was beautiful in its own way...

Mathilde & Ashley... and blue skies!

Jerrilyn (in the hole) and cool cliffs (looking down... scary!)

that's me!

And of course, there's the bus ride back in which Jerrilyn provided GREAT entertainment!

Need I say more?  >:)
