Baroque Class
Our Baroque Class went to all the places we would have never gone by ourselves. Inside this palace, that hotel, and lots of private residences - we went everywhere. Churches, museums and 18th century stairways - you name it, we were there regardless of the NO ENTRY signs that graced the doorways and the strange looks that people gave us as we pushed buttons to enter private courtyards. But Carol Mann was determined, and by the end of the class, I felt confident enough to simply walk into the strangest places. Here are a few scenes from the class...
FONTAINEBLEU
Our big field trip led us to this palace just outside of
Paris. It was quite dusty, but filled with short beds for Napoleon and great fringe
on the curtains.
outside shot... with Prof. Mann looking quite interesting :)
a beautiful pond made up part of the courtyard where we reflected on how the clouds are
ALWAYS in the sky...
Will, as usual, was exhausted by the second hour and had to nap on a convenient bench
Prof. Mann's son proved his knowledge and wit throughout the entire lecture - great
entertainment!
LOUVRE
A frequent destination of ours was the Louvre which we had thoroughly gotten tired of by
the end of the semester... the lobby always provided the most entertainment
A stylish Jacob overlooks the crowds

Lounging in the lobby... after waaaaay too much visual stimulation!
SCENE SHOTS

Group photo!! Don't we look cute? :)
A dashing photo of Will :)
Within a stairwell that we snuck into, there was this sign. Jacob nearly flipped when he
saw it, and I must say that it is quite an odd sign to have... What exactly does that
mean?
some angels near Napoleon's tomb... takes a second look, doesn't it? (suspicious)
Naturally, we all disregard the 'Interdit au Public' sign... who needs them?
(after passing this sign, however, a woman came out of a door and asked Prof. Mann if she
knew how to read... hehe)
