QUEEN'S JUBILEE CELEBRATION
We were lucky to be in London for the Queen's Jubilee, an event which marked her 50th year
as Queen and a host of parades, fireworks and concerts. We made it to the Pop
Concert which had such stars as Ricky Martin, Tom Jones, Bryan Adams, Queen wannabes, Baby
Spice, a whole slew of British singers who I don't know, UK's Pop Idol Will Young and even
Kermit the Frog. It was an event to remember and I had the BEST time!!

David and Alishya smiling big! I was so excited about the whole thing that I don't
think I stopped smiling for quite some time!

Pooja, happy about the burger we ate and the monstrous crowds around us!

Katie and Alishya, and the suspicious butt in the background which made it into many of my
pictures.

Missy and Pooja... and again, the butt in the background. Sheesh.
LONDON SCENE SHOTS

Only in England are they giving people 'Loo of the Year' Awards... Makes you wonder

A scene from the only bridge I can find in Buckingham Gardens... very fairy-tale like

Me, in front of a great big head in the courtyard of the British Museum

Everyone will remember Raelia, of course... my Godmother for the day
Hmmmm

Harrods, all lit up with the rarest of words on its side - SALE!
PUB LOUNGING WITH MO

On a bright, sunny day, Mo met all of us for drinks and it was a wonderful reunion with
our fave professor!

TOWER OF LONDON
My friend from college, Katie, came and spent the day with me and we flocked off to the
Tower of London where our beefeater, Tony, expressed his enthusiasm about decapitations
here and there. I was so happy and excited that Katie laughed at me frequently... I love
those stories!

During Tony's speech, he made reference to the famed ravens whose wings are clipped to
keep them on the grounds. Lo an behold, as we were walking up some stairs, there sat the
BIGGEST bird I've ever seen up close and it scared the beejeebies out of me, especially
since I didn't see it until it was mere inches from me. Of course, I had the cautionary
signs in my head blinking rapidly, so I quickly took a picture, thanked the overly large
bird, and ran to the nearest doorway. What a commotion!
EMILY'S BIRTHDAY
Emily's birthday came and we all traipsed over to Lucky 7, where the burgers are juicy and
the root beer floats are large!! It was heaven and I loved it. We went back to Mercedee's
house afterwards and had some of the chocolatiest cake I've ever experienced.
MMMMMMMMMMMM!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMILY!!

Alishya, Mercedee and Kristine waiting for the heavenly burgers!

The girls squished into a booth!!
FRANK DEPARTS LONDON :(
Frank departed London in typical Frank style... without warning, quickly, not as he had
planned and without letting anyone know until the last minute. We'll miss him much but we
enjoyed him while he was here... especially when he cooked for us. It's about time!

Florence Roommates!!

Frank's last night in London

Smooth... very smooth
Goodbye, dearest Frank... we'll miss you.
