May arrived and the Florence group returned to London with hopes of
graduating, finishing theses and becoming the newest paid members of London society.
Although these events have turned out perhaps differently than we might have
imagined, I must say that I'm having a blast living here in London and I'm making the most
valuable additions to my life in the form of memories and friends. To everyone I say thank
you for making these months wonderful and faaaaantastic!!

Missy and Katie found the most excellent apartment and we moved into Palace Mansions with
high hopes of meeting nice neighbors and having a peaceful stay. Of course, this
thought was formed before our introduction to the London Fire Brigade who trekked through
our apartment building one cloudy afternoon in response to a smoky fire a floor above us.
The nice fireman (pictured below) watched in anticipation and boredom as flaming
articles flew out the window to the courtyard below. Cigarette in hand, he calmly put out
the fire with his shoes while asking us (who were gaping at him through the window) if we
had put on the tea... Gotta love those English!
FRANK'S BIRTHDAY
Soon after returning to London, we realized that it was Frank's birthday so we decided to
throw him a bash... He was exceeding happy and expressed his confused gratitude often much
to our delight. The party fulfilled many functions in addition to celebrating Frank's big
day - housewarming party and, more importantly, a reunion with each other. It was a
beautiful night!

After graduation, Katie and Frank, along with their fams, went out to dinner and presented
the birthday boy with cake and a candle. Happy Birthday Frank!

WEDDING PREPARATIONS
The day had come when us girls needed to traipse around town looking for a wedding dress
for our dearest Kristine. It was an exciting venture as we walked through department after
department of incredibly ugly and super-small clothes.

PARK EXCURSIONS
We discovered Holland Park one day as the three roommates ventured out
of the safe apartment to go on a picnic. It was a beautiful day in London and we watched
as the little children escaped their parents and the peacocks and rabbits ran wild.
